Club M

Club M was officially launched in April 2003 at a luncheon at the House of Lords, kindly hosted by Lord & Lady Ashcroft. The aim of the club is to bring together key supporters who take a special interest in RAFT's vital research to improve patient care. The funds generated (both received and pledged) enable RAFT to plan ahead safe in the knowledge that this group of donors are taking a special interest in the research and supporting RAFT into the future.

Club M members are kept closely informed of our progress and achievements, receive special advance notice of any RAFT events, and are invited to an exclusive Club M event each year. We meet at remarkable locations, which so far have included:

The House of Lords
10 Downing Street
Spencer House
Swiss Re London Headquarters at 30 St Mary Axe
National Grid Headquarters at Grand Buildings, London
Somerset House
Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England

Club M now has over one hundred loyal members from all walks of life including fashion, finance, industry and media. We are a diverse and interesting group, and an excellent ‘club’ atmosphere has been established. If you are interested in joining Club M please call Amanda Bailey, Senior Fundraising Manager on 01923 835815 or bailey@raft.ac.uk

Dinner4Good

Raise money for your favourite charity by having your friends to dinner. Using the Dinner4Good website makes it easy. You can automatically send email invitations to your dinner guests. They can accept and donate online. You can all see who's coming and how much the dinner has raised.

Everyclick

Everyclick is an internet search engine that acts almost like any other, offering a wide range of information including News, Images and Local Class fields. The crucial difference is that by generating funds from the advertising revenue – which doesn’t cost you a penny – it raises crucial funds for charities such as RAFT. Everyclick has raised over £800,000 for charity. You can easily add Everyclick.com as your homepage and/or make RAFT your chosen charity. Click here to go to Everyclick.com and register for free.

JumbleAid

A simple and easy way to raise funds for RAFT, JumbleAid is an auction site that works in a similar way to eBay. Need to clear out all your unwanted belongings? Simply advertise them on JumbleAid’s website, the highest bidder takes home your item and RAFT receives their payment. JumbleAid is free for everyone to use, all you have to do is register. JumbleAid does not receive a penny from the donation – it comes directly to RAFT.

Recycling mobile phones

15 million mobile phones are replaced each year in the UK. By recycling your old phone, you can release funds that will help us to carry out our vital work. Recycled phones are providing fundamental communication improvements in developing countries. RAFT can receive up to £150 for your handset, so by sending your mobile phone to us to recycle, you are helping us to raise money towards our research.

To send us your old mobile phone, please download the flyer, cut out the address label and stick it onto an envelope, place your phone in the envelope and then pop it in the post for free. For more details about the scheme please contact one of the Fundraising team on 01923 835815 or email.

So far this scheme has helped us raise nearly £3000. Thank you for your support.

Trusts & Foundations

If you are involved in a Trust or a Foundation, there are many aspects of our work which you might consider suitable for your support. From supporting a researcher’s experiment or equipment costs, to contributing to our general core costs, your help would be most welcome. If you would like to discuss supporting RAFT, please call Christine Miles on 01923 844371.

We rely on your generous donations to help carry out our vital work. And there are all sorts of other ways in which we can benefit from your generosity and help those in need.
