Thomas Saddington, a post graduate student from the University Of Sheffield, has recently joined RAFT’s research team for an internship.
Thomas has completed a BEng with honours in Bioengineering and will work at RAFT prior to starting an MSc in Biological and Bio-process Engineering in September 2018.
“Having the chance to get an insight into how research is performed, at a level such as RAFT’s, is an extraordinary prospect that cannot be understated. While I am here I will be attempting to model the inflammatory response when biomaterials are placed into the body. By being allowed to perform this research my knowledge will be broadened to an even further scale and allow myself to get a foothold into the scientific industry.”
